Over the years, Orion Electronics has done considerable work and significant development in Welding automation. Today, we can supply the complete panel that includes a high-end PLC and HMI which serves as a central controlling module for cross slides, column-boom, welding manipulator, welding positioner, AVC, Oscillator and Cold wire feeder.

Our systems have successfully been used with Ador, Fronius, Sigmaweld, Kemppi, ESAB, Mogra and may other reputed machines. AVC offered by Orion is ingeniously developed by us in-house with rigorous trials and practically offers all features compared to imported brands like Carpano, Lincoln Electric.

We have designed our AVC for MIG welding and DC HF TIG welding.

We offer the complete system for Cold wire feeder, that includes the controller, mechanical nipple, linear, roller-mechanism with torch holding clamps and arrangement.

We have successfully completed applications for Straight tube welding, Overlay cladding, Inner valve welding, pipe-to-pipe welding, nozzle welding and many more.

Welding Automation Products

AVC Controller

AVC Controller monitors the 0 to 10 V analogue input coming from the welder power supply. This in fact is a measure of the distance between the job and the welding torch. When due to any reason- which could be irregularities in the job.

Cold Wire Feeder

Cold Wire Feeder controls the speed at which the wire is fed. There are programmable time delays which decide when the feed starts. The feed speed too is programmable. This further improves the weld quality.

Oscillator

Oscillator moves the torch back and forth maintaining the traverse and pitch. All the above products can be stand alone or part of a larger multi-axis system which can be controlled by a single ORION pendant controller (HMI), as per requirement.

Integrated Controller for Welding Automation

This is a micro-processor based integrated controller having AVC, Weaver and Cold Wire Feeder systems built-in a single controller card. This is a very ideal system for Linear and Circumferential welding of Fillet/Butt joints or Cladding applications. The Touch screen based operator pendant serves as a single interface to control the parameters for Torch Height control, Oscillation and Cold Wire Feeding.
